Pretty, but not durable.Sep 20, 2009 Pfaltzgraff Sedona items are too fragile for normal household use. The slightest tap of a metal spoon on the edge of a plate or bowl results in big broken chips. I've used Pfaltzgraff dinnerware for 30 years and have never used a pattern that is as fragile as Sedona. A huge disappointment.

Not for dietingApr 16, 2009 Beautiful design, well made, made to last material but also made to last at your waist line too. These bowls are huge! I put one serving of cereal in one of these bowls and it was like "that's it??!?!" Makes servings look like you're trying to feed a bird. So if you assume portion size by looks alone you'll be disappointed. I would recommend this bowl as a salad bowl but not for cereal or soup unless you like to eat.. alot.
Good BowlMar 06, 2009 I bought the Pfaltzgraff Sedona Soup/Cereal Bowl on amazon and it arrived well wrapped and quickly. The colors are nice and bright and the surface is smooth and easy to clean.
It was lighter than I expected it to be, which was kind of sad to me because I wanted a nice heavy bowl I didn't feel that I was in danger of breaking. It's become my favorite bowl anyway because it's sides are nice and steep. I can make salad in it and I don't have to worry about lettuce going over the rim as I'm searching for the perfect combo of ingredients to put on my fork.
When it's time for a giant salad, I still have to use a mixing bowl, but I don't care because this one is so easy to hold with one hand when I'm sitting on the couch watching TV.

all right by me !!!Nov 04, 2007 This "Sedona" style soup or cereal bowl by Pfaltzgraff is indeed dishwasher and microwave safe. The manufacturer claims that it is also oven and freezer safe; but I can't comment on that because I haven't used it in the oven and freezer.
Although this is made to be a soup or cereal bowl; this can also be used for deserts such as ice cream. Great!
The design of the bowl is very smart. The interior of the bowl is a warm cream color freckled with blue specks that are all hand painted. This design is nicely complemented by the predominantly warm, earthy tones of the different colored stripes all around the outside of the bowl. The navy blue stripes at the very top and bottom of the outside of the bowl give the bowl a sharp, smart look. The overall effect certainly does give it that vibrant southwest feel; the design can also go with many contemporary and even modern dining room sets.
This soup or cereal bowl is completely hand painted; that impresses me. There is a five year warranty but with the great design of these plates I doubt you'll ever need it! When I handle the bowl it feels remarkably sturdy and solid.
Get a set of these bowls today! You won't be disappointed.

ShamefulOct 27, 2007 It is pitiful that a company like Pflazgaff has these made in China so that they can make a few extra bucks per bowl.
