Looks very nice but slight design flaw (or wrong part?)Jan 02, 2008 I purchased this item for my mother for Christmas and was a little miffed to see that the screw that fits into the bottom "pillar" (and holds up the top tier) sticks out a little more then it should (basically the head on the screw is too wide). This in turn makes the tray spin around. normally this would actually be kind of cool but it does not really stand straight. It instead wobbles a little bit. When food is put on it though its hard to notice, but for something that can also be part of a room, it should not be tilted.
This is not to say it does not look good. I was actually impressed with the weight and design of the thing. Its does not look or feel cheap at all, in fact it looks like its worth more then I paid for it (which is still alot for me in case my mom is reading this :).
I tried looking up the problem EVERYWHERE I could possibly look (and I'm pretty good at finding stuff online), but I can't find this same problem. The only thing I can think of is that its either not documented that its supposed to spin, or the screw that came with this particular item was the wrong one.
I plan on writing to the company as well but I figured I'd give a good honest review here.
I will most likely be purchasing other items from this company in the same style
